The flu season is almost here. There are a number of vaccination training requirements that you need to complete. Most of you will only need to complete the declaration of competence. However, there is also a large
amount of training that you will need to complete if you have not done so in the past two years. Below is a list of requirements that you need to do starting from now.
Furthermore,
PSNC is conducting a webinar on the service on 15th August 2018 to clarify other matters. It is in your interest to register for it.
- Pharmacists need to attend face-to-face training for both injection technique and basic life support training every two years. We have some places for our face-to-face flu training 16th September 2018 – Click here to book
- New immunisers – will need to have a period of supervision although there is no specification as to how many vaccinations need to be supervised
- Declaration of competence - Vaccination Service declaration of
competence (DoC) – As this is a new DoC this must be completed this year by everyone even if it was done last year
- CPPE e-learning & e-assessments – should be completed and revisited every 2
years
