You are in no doubt aware that the GDPR is now in force. Pharmacies are required to have a data protection officer as part of the regulations. The government confirmed this requirement in May 2018. 

The role of the DPO is significant and requires an in-depth understanding of the regulations. Furthermore, failure to comply with the rules can lead to a hefty fine and significant reputational loss.

PharmaPlus understands that this is a significant mind shift from what a pharmacy used to do. A three-hour training session is only a snapshot of what the responsibilities are, and there is a considerable amount of learning that will take place after the event in the pharmacy.

Only one DPO needs to be in place per company, and this is the reason why we are restricting numbers. At the moment there are 25 places for the 30th of September 2018.
