Please see below an email trail from a local LPC. Please take the time to read the whole trail if you are considering a pre-registration student for 2019.

Many contractors do not think about recruiting a pre-reg pharmacist until the year in which they wish to recruit one.

Under the ORIEL process, contractors’ registration must be completed in the year before recruitment takes place.

The process is already well under way for Summer 2018 but if you do not wish to miss the boat for Summer 2019, you should register for the process by March 16th 2018.

You should also be aware that the ORIEL process places responsibilities on pre-reg tutors and pharmacies in exchange for a more secure recruitment arrangement. For further details, please see email below and/or go to:

HEE is inviting applications from community pharmacies who wish to register to recruit pre-registration pharmacists via the national scheme (ORIEL) in 2018, for pre-registration pharmacists commencing their training in summer 2019. An email has already been sent to those who were part of the scheme last year, but we are keen to reach as many pharmacies as possible. Therefore please find attached an invitation letter to prospective new sites from Gail Fleming, Pharmacy Dean HEE LaSE containing more specific employer links. Can I request you to circulate amongst your community pharmacy networks?
