Many of our members have raised concerns about internet pharmacies aggressively campaigning (nationally) to sign up patients for repeat prescription business. We have noticed that several of our member pharmacies have put up notices in their premises to highlight these issues to the members of public.
On the
other hand, some owners and several of us here at Pharmaplus believe that any reference to internet pharmacies is creating publicity for them (as they say 'all PR is good PR'). In some cases, patients will search on the internet and find companies like P2U after reading such notices. So please consider if displaying a notice is right for your business.
Should you wish to display such a notice in your pharmacy, we have created two things for
you:
- A ‘Notice’: We have drafted a notice that you can put in your pharmacy to make your customers aware that they can register with you and they are under no obligation to register with other internet based pharmacies. The notice also highlights that these internet pharmacies are not related to you or the local GPs and lists several services you provide to your customers that the internet pharmacies can’t. You can print the notice in an A4 or A3 size
as you wish or pass it to your local printer to print and laminate for you.
- A ‘Two Page Letter’: we have prepared a two page letter that you can print and keep in your pharmacies for your customers to pick up. This letter can be printed as a two sided letter (with the registration form on the back). You can also use this letter for leafletting purpose as well if you wish to. Both the form and the letter are created in a ‘Word’ format so you can edit it as
required.
