The NHS Urgent Medicines Advance Service is a new advanced service that has been launched by the department.

In a nutshell, the service allows the provision of emergency supply medicines on the NHS provided that certain criteria are met. The SOP attached to this email can be used to support you in the provision of the service and it will also be available on the website shortly.

You can also sign up for the service by accessing the NHS portal here. Please note that it a particular requirement to have a shared NHS Mail account first.

We will be providing more information on this in the coming weeks and we fully appreciate that there are quite a few things to do in the immediate future especially items relating to quality payments.
