MUR / NMS Submissions
Deadline Approaching - 10th April 2017
New Submission Process for Notified Contractors
Those providing MUR/NMS Advanced services are reminded of the need
to submit their quarterly reports by April 10th 2017. There are two reporting methods depending on whether or not your pharmacy has been contacted by NHS BSA and asked to submit data via the NHS Information Services Portal.

Reporting information on the MUR service to NHS England
A new process is being rolled out for reporting information on the MUR service to NHS England.

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHS BSA) has taken on the role of collecting the completed electronic reporting templates from contractors on behalf of NHS England. There will be a phased roll out and contractors will be notified by NHS BSA when their pharmacy is required to change to using this process.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED
Contractors who have been notified that they must now report MUR data to NHS BSA
Each contractor providing MURs must submit their completed quarterly MUR electronic reporting templates to the NHS BSA via the Information Services Portal, rather than emailing the report to their local NHS England team.
Contractors must submit the completed MUR electronic reporting templates to the NHS BSA within 10 working days from the last day of the quarter the data refers to (last day of June, September, December and March).

There are two ways to submit your electronic reporting templates to the NHS BSA and you must choose which method to use:
  1. Online form
  2. Electronic Reporting Template
Further information and links to the online form and electronic reporting templates can be found on the NHS BSA website.

IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED
Contractors who have not been notified to report their MUR data to NHS BSA
Each pharmacy providing MURs must complete the nationally agreed electronic reporting template (a standard spreadsheet – see below) by collating the necessary data from pharmacy records for the MURs conducted in that quarter.

Pharmacies must send the completed electronic reporting template to the local team after the end of 10 working days from the last day of that quarter (last day of June, September, December and March). The data to be contained in the electronic reporting template is described in the following document:

A paper based approach can be taken to collating this data throughout the quarter, so that you can complete the spreadsheet for emailing to the local team at the end of the quarter. The following form has been designed to allow this paper based collation of data:

If you have not been notified to report your MUR/NMS data to NHS BSA, your electronic reporting template should be emailed to england.lon-pharmacy@nhs.net
