From 11 November 2021, anyone working or volunteering in a care home will need to be fully vaccinated against coronavirus (COVID-19) unless exempt. In effect, this means that anyone entering into a care home from this date must be vaccinated unless they are exempt by law. Care homes will also need to ask for proof of vaccination status.
The requirements include delivery drivers and other members of your staff. The provision only applies to those entering the inside of a care home.
The regulations mean that your staff, including delivery drivers and people who may visit the home for other business purposes, must be vaccinated if they are not exempt.
In order to ensure that you meet this deadline, any member of staff that could be affected
should commence the vaccination by 16th September 2021 to ensure that they are vaccinated by the time the regulations come into force.
