DEADLINE APPROACHING: COVID Costs Claim Guidance

Dear Member,

If you have been following our staged plan you should have almost collected all your data by now. We will issue our guidance on completing the claim form and submission next week.

Contractors can claim for specific categories (see below) of COVID-19 related costs incurred between 1st March 2020 and 31st March 2021 for the delivery of NHS pharmaceutical services.

Do not submit you claim early as more information and best practice is becoming available each week. We recommend submission around 12th-14th Aug 21 (Deadline is 15th Aug)

What you need to do:
1. Read the PSNC briefings by clicking here – they contain essential information important for your claim.
2. Watch PSNC’s webinar from 14th July and 2nd August by clicking here
3. If you have missed the PharmaPlus webinar – you can email us your questions on info@pharmaplusltd.co.uk and we will get back to you.
4. Download our excel spreadsheet (attached) which will assist you in gathering your data for your evidence pack. After that you need to:
a. Go through each of the 5 tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
b. Read through the notes at the top so you understand what you can and cannot claim for.
c. Scan all your evidence material (e.g. invoices) and keep them in an electronic folder.

You are NOT able to claim for your time / accountants time taken to prepare this claim.

The 4 claimable areas are:
1. Additional staff costs due to COVID-19;
2. Costs incurred to make premises COVID-19 secure;
3. IT and communication costs to support home working and virtual patient contact; and
4. Notified closures for infection control purposes (maximum 14 days).

Please Note: Some costs you capture may not be covid related and are therefore not claimable. You must ensure you are able to justify ALL your claims should you be subject to any post payment verification checks.
