The Year 4 programme entitled ‘Medicines Optimisation in the Community’ has been going for the last 7 years with our 4th year undergraduates and Medical students. Recently we have trialled the same programme this year with a cohort of pre-reg students (from community, primary care and hospital). The programme has been very well received to date, and we are working very closely with
GPs and PCNs. Please peruse the attachment which gives you more detail about the programme. Please note: this is done at no cost to the employers.
The programme is for 2 days and gives an extremely useful insight into working in primary care and an ideal opportunity for the pre-regs to meet their competencies in leadership and clinical skills. This year the programme is being delivered on line.
We are running 3 cohorts this Semester where we will need some more community pre-regs or those pre-regs working in primary care to work alongside our medical students and hospital pre-regs. We have places for the following dates:
- March 22nd and 23rd : up to 6 places
- April 19th and 20th: up to 6 places
- April 26th and 27th: up to 10 places
