2020 has finally drawn to a close, and most of us are incredibly grateful that we can finally see the back of it. With the traumas we faced in 2020, and which still seem to be continuing into 2021, we still all look forward to better times this year.
2021 will be a year of adjustment to new norms. As this crisis slowly disappears, some things will go back to what it was, however, many things will have changed forever.
Throughout 2020 lockdown, Pharmaplus team has been working very hard behind the scenes. Even in this new working environment we adapted quickly, and continued to provide professional services seamlessly to you. We have done it diligently to this day, and will continue to pursue our strategy aggressively.

So what do we know about community pharmacy in 2021
We know that there will be intense pressure to reduce the national debt with government borrowing at record levels. Community pharmacy will undoubtedly be an easy target and be asked to make continued savings,whilst still having to maintain the high-class service you currently provide to your patients and customers. A lot of this work has been beyond the call of duty.

I see the present 'hostile and uncertain' environment as a time to reflect and regroup. We all run commercial businesses, no one owes us a living – not even the government. Success has been achieved by many companies even in this disruption caused by the Pandemic, and like them we have to 'Pivot' our pharmacies to remain viable businesses and
thrive.The least we have to do is plan and be ready for the upturn.

How have we been planning to help you?
We continue to provide you with clear and detailed communications, to guide you through the Pandemic, supporting your business and professional regulatory requirements. Additionally, we have recently facilitated and implemented very successful PCN Leads sessions to help local community pharmacies. Our free monthly Tendering process continues to gain
momentum.

| In addition to our PGDs and Travel Clinic, we continue to develop our Private Clinical services such
as our Walk-in Service clinics, Wart removal service, IV infusion service, Ear micro-suction and many more, including soon a PPL Medical Aesthetics Service (Botox), with discussions also nearing conclusion.

We recently also announced the PharmaPlus REWARDS Scheme, this initiative takes your monthly Generics and PI spends into account - (via selected PharmaPlus suppliers), but importantly ALSO includes your engagement with us and with our services throughout the year.

The scheme provides a monetary payment to all members at one level or another, for being a strategic PharmaPlus partner and rewards you for your continued Loyalty to the group.

I can only reiterate my message of previous years – let Pharmaplus be your back office. We will help hold your hand through the regulatory requirements and guide you through the revenue-generating services – but you can only do this successfully if you trust us more on your supply function, of related monthly drugs purchases. Saving pennies and spending hours doing
this is not productive.Our aim in all the services we provide is to create time for you to get on with revenue generating Private Clinical services.
Finally, I want to come back to you now on a more personal level. Many of us have lost loved ones and friends to this relentless virus. Most of UK is again in total lock down, making it even more challenging to meet the people you love and care about the most. These are undoubtedly challenging times - but we are also in no doubt that the situation will improve and we look forward
to better days coming back soon.
My colleagues at PharmaPlus and I do not just think of you as "members". You are our extended families, and we know you on a first-name basis. We genuinely care about you and your businesses. It's over many many years, that we have built this community and our WhatsApp group has consistently demonstrated how each of us values the rest.
2021 will be a better year for all of us. And as usual, we will be here for you.
