As you know we are now in Tier 4 in London & SE. We also know across London & SE more healthcare workers are getting infected mostly away from work rather than through work due to the extra precautions we are taking at work. However we wanted to emphasise some key points / actions that members may want to review and ensure compliance with at the
pharmacy:
A) Please continue to ensure all Covid safe measures are always followed, especially the following:
- Wearing of face mask at all times (Type IIR Face mask only)
- Hand washing regularly (every 2 hours at least - hourly is even better)
- Using alcohol gel regularly (also available for customers too)
- Maintain social distancing
- Not eating together (ideally staff should take it in turns and / or go offsite)
- Not sharing cups / plates / utensils etc
- Disposable towels are used by staff (no shared towels)
- All surfaces, tables, chairs, keyboards, computer mice, light switches, Chip&Pin devices , handles , toilets (after each use)etc must be wiped down regularly
- A clear cleaning rota is maintained
- Staff must not give names of colleagues to NHS track & trace. Give the Pharmacy Name , Owners/delegated persons name & mobile number.
