We have worked hard behind the scenes throughout the pandemic. We not only represent our members and make your voices heard in the industry and the government, but we have also looked at new income-generating avenues, and initiatives to secure a better more sustainable future for your business. Several clinical services are coming up soon on the horizon, and we are
continually evaluating our strategy to benefit our members.
Some of our workstreams over the last eight months include:
1. Improved comms with our members:
- Produced a dedicated COVID-19 page on our website for the latest updates.
- Daily 1 pm updates for the latest information in an easily digestible format during the height of the pandemic.
- Launched our new Alerts and Updates WhatsApp group, so members no longer miss out on essential messages from PharmaPlus.
2. Launching a range of new clinical services & training our members:
- Set up 20 pharmacies - and this number is increasing - with new clinical services with Citydoc and the private walk-in clinic.
- Launched our video training sessions training to over 70 members on managing cash flow and independent prescribing.
- Established our staff training modules to ensure your staff are compliant with all their training needs.
- Helped members to set up their flu vaccination service, organised face-to-face training days, assisted in queries and other flu-related support.
3. Supported members with COVID related claims:
- Support for COVID related claims for bank holiday payments, pandemic delivery service, plus much more.
- Secure over £1 million worth of loans, grants and other COVID related payments for members.
4. A range of professional support:
- Support for completing COVID related guidance including SOPs, risk assessments, business continuity plans, obtaining PPE, advice on managing test and trace, plus much more.
- Guidance on the pharmacy advice audit.
- Guided members on managing the increasing threat from internet pharmacies.
- Updated our SOPs to ensure they reflect the new COVID measures.
- Supported revalidation requirements and ensuring members entries are meeting the standards.
- We have helped members with the DSP toolkit.
5. Pharmacy Quality Scheme:
- Helping members maximise their Pharmacy Quality Scheme claims in Feb 2020.
- Helping 25 members achieve Healthy Living Pharmacy status with our HLP Pro service.
- Guiding the new Pharmacy Quality Scheme launched in October 2020.
6. Campaigning for pharmacy:
- Guidance on how to use twitter to campaign for pharmacy.
- Campaigned using your COVID related stories and shared these nationally with various bodies.
7. Support for pre-regs and provisionally registered pharmacists:
- Launched the Buttercups pre-reg training course.
- Provided guidance and risk assessment templates for employing provisionally registered pharmacists.
8. New Suppliers:
- Rapidly organised a supplier to supply members which perplex screens for protection of pharmacy teams.
- Secure a new supplier – Valley Solutions.
To highlight some of our services below, for £1.10 per day of our membership fee, we offer back more than 3 times in return on our exhaustive, base level services. However if you were to utilise the majority of our services, including private clinical services, you are likely to see a return of over 10 times from us as members.
