GPhC Guidance on the use of testing kits for rapid testing of antibodies for COVID-19

A response received by PharmaPlus

Dear Member,

On 10th August 2020 PharmaPlus, on behalf of our members, wrote a letter to GPhC regarding the guidance issued by them about the use of testing kits for rapid testing of antibodies for COVID-19. The letter is attached with the email and you can also view a copy of the letter by clicking here.

We now have received a response from GPhC clarifying their position and stance on this and since they are the governing body, we are expected to follow their advice. The copy of their response is attached and you can also view the copy of the letter by clicking here.

We however believe this response is extremely weak and shows GPhC's lack of confidence in community pharmacy.
