Here are some updates from us for today:
1. Bank Holiday Claims
We have confirmed that the bank holiday claim for Friday 8th May 2020 on the MYS portal is scheduled to open on the 25th May and close 22nd June. A decision is also to be made on what will happen on the late May bank holiday (Monday 25th May 2020) and whether you will be required to open. We will keep you updated on progress.
2. CD Regulations
Three changes to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations. The regulations may be used only if 'activated' or 'switched on’. It should be noted that these regulations have NOT been switched on and normal controlled drug regulations apply.
The NPA has released a template letter you can use to inform prescribers who may not be aware of what the current situation is. We have heard reports of members being pressurised into providing controlled drugs when the law is quite clear on what they can and can not do. The template can be found here.
