Here are some important updates from us for today:
1. CLAIMS FOR EASTER PAYMENTS
A) You will need to claim your Easter Bank Holiday Payments by Tuesday 5th May or lose out on these payments!
2. ADVANCED DELIVERY SERVICE FOR SHIELDING PATIENTS
A) MYS portal is open between 1st May and 5th May to make these claims
B) Check which patients you have delivered who are shielding

3. CD REGULATION CHANGES
A) There have been changes to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001 to provide Ministers with emergency powers for the supply of Controlled Drugs (CDs).
B) ONLY for specific circumstances during a pandemic – These can only be ‘activated’ by Ministers under very limited circumstances.
C) There are 3 changes:
1. Emergency supply of a CD without a prescription.
2. Emergency supply of a CD against a Serious Shortage Protocol (SSP).
3. Emergency change to a CD instalment direction with the agreement of the prescriber.

4. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – Become a Safe Space for the public
a) During COVID-19, key workers in pharmacies hold a unique position as a single point of contact for victims of domestic abuse.
b) We recommend that all of our members become a ‘Safe Space’
you will need to open up your consultancy room as a Safe Space for victims of domestic abuse, print a few posters and train your staff appropriately
c) Finally, you need to email an address to state that you have become a safe space
