Dear Member,
1. There has been a great article in Pharmacy magazine regarding the use of volunteer delivery drivers. It discusses various issues but mainly discusses the potential liability issues regarding their use. It is
worth a read. You can access it here.
2. We have included more information on patients who wish to register as vulnerable and at high risk. In short, they need to register at the government website located here. Provide this link to anyone who feels that they are part of this group and requires support for delivery etc: www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable
3. We have also updated on our COVID-19 visual resource mind-map the various roles of the Government, Council and the NHS. It is not an urgent update but worth a read to understand who does what. The information is in
the 'other information' section of the mind-map. Click here to view.
4. The mind-map has also been updated with further information on what supermarkets can do and what the essential components of food delivery parcels contain. Again, this is more for your information and is not urgent
for you to read yet. Click here to view.
5. We sent an email yesterday on how to claim for your Easter payments. Please note that we recommend that you
use your email login (not Smartcard) as there is a bug in the system. We are working with the NHSBSA and they have confirmed an update will occur by Friday and Smartcard log ons will work then. They have also indicated that in the longer term Smartcard access will be decommissioned and hence it best if everyone has an email log on. If you have any difficulty the MYS team can be contacted via nhsbsa.mys@nhs.net
You have until 5th May 2020 to claim, but we recommend you claim as early as possible.
