Dear Member,
Here are the updates from us today:
1. Pre-registration Students
More information about pre-registration trainees has now been released by the GPhC yesterday. The full release can be found here. In short, here are the highlights:
● A provisional registration option is being developed to current trainees so they can register in August 2020. The details of this have not been finalised, and they are determining what these requirements are.
● There is consideration being given to online registration assessments.
● The 39-week appraisal should be completed as usual if possible – this does not need to be sent to the GPhC for the moment, but they have advised trainees and mentors to keep a record of it.
2. New Website for Essential Workers
3. New Loan Support from Government
NEW Loan Support from the Government: The Bounce Back Loan scheme will help small and medium-sized businesses to borrow between £2,000 and £50,000. The government will guarantee 100% of the loan, and there won’t be any fees or interest to pay for the first 12 months. The scheme will launch on 4 May 2020 however excludes public-sector bodies so we are unsure if this applies to
Community Pharmacies at this stage. We will monitor and update members as we get more information. Click here for more details.
