we are required to complete an updated NSAID audit
What you need to
do:
·Data collection period: 2 weeks with a minimum of 10 patients
o Extended to 4 weeks if 10 patients not achieved

·Target group
o Patients over 65 years prescribed an NSAID or COX-2 Inhibitor
o Refer any patients to their GP if they have not been prescribed gastro protection and are regularly taking NSAIDs or COX-2 Inhibitors unless they have seen the prescriber for a review in the last 6 months (Referral forms attached)
o Discuss risks of NSAIDs and benefits of gastro protection
o All eligible patients should be included including those who are delivered and in care homes
·Log your audit results using the data collection sheets & once completed these must be uploaded electronically via:
o Manage Your Service (MYS) OR PharmaOutcomes (Only use one of these systems NOT both)

·PQS Claim – Feb 2020 – Done via MYS
o On MYS claim for NSAID audit by entering in summary information
o This will be auto populated if you used MYS to log your data collection
o If using PharmaOutcomes a summary report will be generated which you can manually input into MYS
