SUBJECT: PQS 2025/26 – Key Actions and Deadlines for Contractors
Dear Member,
We have received several
questions recently about the Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) 2025/26 and what contractors should have completed by this stage. To support you, we have put together a clear document that summarises:
- The key PQS activities that should already have been completed
- The actions that still
need to be completed between now and 31 March 2026
- Important deadlines, training requirements, audit expectations and gateway criteria
- Areas that commonly cause confusion, such as PCS expansion, respiratory interventions, sepsis training, antimicrobial stewardship audits, DBS checks and palliative care
action plans
The document is attached for your reference.
Why this matters
The PQS declaration window opens on 2 February
2026. It is essential that all contractors have the correct evidence ready. Missing or incomplete actions may prevent your pharmacy from claiming for certain domains or, in some cases, from claiming PQS at all.
The attached document provides a simple and practical checklist that you can use with your team to ensure you remain compliant and fully prepared before the declaration
period begins.
If you have any questions or need support with any part of the PQS requirements, including training, audits, registrations or evidence gathering, please get in touch with us as usual on
info@pharmaplusltd.co.uk and we will be happy to assist.
Regards,
PharmaPlus
