NHS England has announced that drug tariff prices will be reduced in August 2024 due to an error in overpricing in July 2024. The value of this reduction is roughly £800 per pharmacy per
month.
Please ensure all prescriptions dispensed in July 2024 are sent in July 2024, and encourage as many customers as possible to collect their prescriptions tomorrow and claim them before month end.
Please also see attached a reminder
of the EPS claim process. You must ensure that (dispense notifications) DNs are sent by month end and (Claim notifications) CNs by Monday for the prescriptions to be paid in July 2024 at higher prices.
