Key Information and Deadlines

NHS England (NHSE) has launched a new EOI process for pharmacies to join future COVID-19 vaccination campaigns from September 2024 to March 2026. This new approach simplifies participation and reduces administrative burdens.

Important Dates:

    •    EOI Process Opens: 30th May 2024
    •    Initial Submission Deadline: 11:59 pm, 27th June 2024

Future deadlines will be announced on the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) website.

Participation Steps

    1.    Review Documents:
    •    Read the Enhanced Service Specification and EOI guidance on the NHSBSA’s Manage Your Service (MYS) portal.

    2.    Eligibility:
    •    Provide the Flu Vaccination Advanced Service (Sept 2024 - March 2025).
    •    Administer at least 100 COVID-19 vaccinations per week.
    •    Maintain good regulatory standing with the NHS and General Pharmaceutical Council.

    3.    Submit EOI:
    •    Use the MYS portal to submit your EOI before the deadline.

Service Details:

    •    On-Site Provision: Must vaccinate housebound or care home patients and may offer outreach services.
    •    Fees: £7.54 per vaccination, £10 additional for housebound patients, £2.50 extra if no flu vaccination is given.

NHSE expects the MYS portal to provide a smoother user experience. Separate processes for off-site services will be announced later.
