We know that completion of PQS can be stressful. In light of this we have summarised the action points so you know what to expect this year.

This is for information only at this point, and as always we will break this down into manageable chunks for you to be able to complete with ease through the PQS period.

PQS 2023/2024- A Summary

KEY DATES

• Aspiration payment open 4^th September and closes 29^th September. Remember this is your declaration to indicate which domains you attend to achieve for PQS 2023/2024.
• Declaration must be submitted between 5^th February 2024 and 1^st March for those pharmacies participating the PQS scheme. 

What is the Gateway Criteria?

Pharmacies must have completed 15 NMS between 1^st April 2023 and 31^st December 2023, and claimed for them by 5^th Jan 2024 to be eligible for the PQS scheme.

What is the workload?

The work involved for the PQS scheme this year is significantly lower, which means that the remuneration is also (approximately 60% less in comparison to last year).

As the workload is lower so is the expected average value of £4,700 (Approximately 60%).

PharmaPlus Support and Recommendation

Currently Community Pharmacy England do not feel that pharmacies can take on more workload and additional services, therefore they will not provide any guidance for the PQS scheme. However, Pharmaplus will continue to support you through this process should you chose to proceed with the scheme.

Pharmaplus will continue to break PQS down into manageable chunks for you to be able to complete with ease through this period.

For now, we recommend that you claim your aspiration payment from Monday 4^th September, and details surrounding the Anticoagulation Audit will be sent in the coming weeks.
