Introducing: The Community Pharmacy Technician Advancement
Programme
This programme is specifically designed to boost the knowledge, clinical skills, and overall proficiency of pharmacy technicians working in community pharmacies. By enhancing their skill set, we aim to expand patient access to clinical services and diversify the capabilities of our community pharmacy teams.
Key Highlights:
- Comprehensive E-Course: A self-paced four-month e-course consisting of six modules.
- Practical Workshops: Including a face-to-face session on clinical assessment skills.
- Reflection & Peer Support: Mandatory two-hour evening workshop for reflection and optional monthly one-hour peer support sessions.
- Programme Launch Date: 28th September.
What's in it for
Technicians?
Upon successful completion, participants will:
- Acquire essential knowledge and skills to deliver top-notch clinical services.
- Understand and adapt to
changing legislation affecting their practice.
- Apply clinical therapeutics effectively in consultations.
- Enhance their clinical assessment skills.
- Develop as reflective practitioners with a strong personal
and professional support network.
- Document their learning journey, showcasing competencies and achievements.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Currently working as a
community pharmacy technician.
- Have a supervising pharmacist or health care professional to sign off on clinical assessment skills.
- Commitment to attend the Clinical assessment skills workshop and the online peer reflection workshop.
- Please note that there are multiple dates and locations available for those who may find alternative options more convenient.

Special Note: Once enrolled, participants will be assigned a CPPE education supervisor for personalised support. They'll also have access to a tracker to monitor progress, which can be shared
with employers.
