WHAT PHARMAPLUS DOES TO HELP MEMBERS -
What
we have done is create our own proforma by looking at the requirements for the GPhC and we use it to inspect each pharmacy to those very same standards. We have taken the time and effort to review the way GPhC write their reports in order really recognize what they are looking for.
Like the GPhC
we:
1. Review written or documentary evidence such as SOPs, audits and training
documentation.
2. Observe interactions with patients.
3. Ask the team questions and pose scenarios to them to gauge understanding and how they would respond to certain situations.
4. Test systems, processes and procedure.
5. Look at the pharmacy physically to see if meets the required standards.
This usually takes around 3-4 hours in line with the GPhC, to give you a true reflection on what the actual inspection could be like.
We offer our report within a week which will
stipulate positives, negatives, improvements all in line with the standards. We make it very clear which comment relates to which part of the standards so it is apparent where standards are met/not met, and this is done in line with the decision making framework which the inspectors use.
We offer further support after you have received the report and give ample time to discuss this with the PharmaPlus mock inspector.
Think of this service we offer like a health-check for your
pharmacy!
