TRAINING DETAILS
The training is coordinated by Health Education England (HEE) and the Pharmacy Integration
Programme at NHS England, and will be delivered by CliniSkills (Clinical Skills Training Ltd) until March 2024. It offers a range of clinical skills modules,
designed to supplement the existing clinical skills of community pharmacists in assessing, treating, and managing common health problems. This training is complementary to independent prescribing courses and can be completed either before or after attending those courses.
Upon completing a
pre-required online gateway module on history taking and identification of serious conditions, pharmacists can choose from four optional modules based on professional interests: dermatology, cardiology, paediatrics, and ear, nose, and throat. The module content will be delivered online using a flexible and responsive eLearning system, with optional face-to-face attendance for pharmacists who would find it beneficial. The training can be
completed at a time and pace that suits each pharmacist, with face-to-face workshops scheduled to accommodate working patterns.
