What’s next?

18. PQS Declaration window is now open with a deadline of 3rd March
 

The declaration window for the Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) 2022/23 is now open.

You can make a claim for PQS payments up until 11.59pm on Friday 3rd March 2023 through the MYS portal.

You must have evidence to demonstrate meeting the gateway criteria and the domains you have claimed for by 31st March 2023.

We do advise that you do not leave this till the last date. Experience has shown that system problems can arise on the final days as most of the pharmacies are trying to claim. Although we are happy to take calls on this, we cannot help with this issue.

Details surrounding previous correspondence which was sent out pertaining to activities which were to be covered at the bottom of this email.
 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO AND BY WHEN

1. 3rd March 2023 (as above, we do not recommend that this should not be left to this date)

The declaration for domains which still have work in progress payment must be made.
 

You are declaring that have or will meet the conditions of the relevant domains by 31 March 2023.
 

2.  31st March 2023

2.1) Anti-microbial stewardship review
Submit your results on MYS Portal. A minimum 15 patients each for UTI and URTI are required.
 

2.2) Sodium Valproate Audit
Submit your results on MYS Portal (this is not part of PQS)
 

2.3) Palliative care and end of life action plans
Update you NHS profile manager.

3. 5th April 2023

As part of the NMS gateway criteria, you must have submitted at least 20 completed NMS interventions between 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023 and patient safety report and have claimed these by above date.

We have attached a word document version of all the declarations which are to be made. This should help you to understand what needs to be filled in. We encourage you to look at this declaration document beforehand, and if you have any questions, whether It be the declaration process itself or the criteria please contact us in due time. We will be more than happy to assist you.

The process of declaration will take around 45 mins or so, so please ensure that you have baked this time into one of your days before the deadline of 31st March 2023 by 11.59pm.
