Dear
Member,
PSNC has released the following information - click the link below for details:
What this means for you:
In Oct 22 - Transitional payments are worth £1516 for the average pharmacy (based on item volumes). These are paid to all pharmacies if registered for CPCS and done at least 1 NMS in Sept 22.
The payments are changing, and we now have some extra
information.
In Nov 22 - Transitional payments drop to £1358 for the average pharmacy (based on item volumes). These are paid to all pharmacies if registered for CPCS and done at least 1 NMS In Oct 22.
In Dec 22 - a significant change is coming, and Transitional payments will be based more on advanced services such as NMS, CPCS & BP done in the month
prior. (Nov 22).
The average pharmacy will get just £184 plus a 68% premium of the advanced services eg NMS, CPCS & BP Checks done in Nov 22.
Effectively each
NMS in Nov is worth £47.04, each CPCS £23.52, each BP check is £25.20, and each ABPM is £75.60.
Further changes will occur in Dec 22 that will impact Jan 23 payments. This change is particularly high for NOV 22 services only. Ongoing they will be much much lower around 20% higher premiums (TBC).
Sadly, these higher rates are funded by dramatic cuts to the Transitional payments. Over all pharmacies are likely in most cases to lose out. So it is critical you plan well for Nov 22.
Full information and details are on the PSNC link above. The average pharmacy data above is based on doing 5000-12500 items per month.
