Dear
Member,
Current IT systems for pharmacy are based on managing prescription flows. This type of system is quickly becoming archaic, and current clinical systems that pharmacy use are both disjointed and have difficulty in talking to one another.
Pharmacy is becoming increasingly clinically orientated. It is therefore essential that PMR systems keep up to date with the changing times so that we can work from both a clinical and a prescription dispensing angles. The two components also need to communicate with each other and to Primary
and Secondary care, to in turn provide a complete 'patient' orientated clinical care package.
Pharmaplus has a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of future IT systems that will be used in community pharmacy. We would very much appreciate your input on what
the ideal system should provide. So, to support us to help you, please answer just the ONE question for our survey:
OUR SURVEY QUESTION: If you had the ideal clinical/pharmacy system, what three elements would you want to add to your current PMR to future proof it?
