So far we have shared the following stages in the PPL winter workload plan which should be completed or well underway by now:

          3. Asthma domain work- Email sent 17th October 2022

What’s next?

All registered pharmacy professionals to complete CPPE reducing look-alike, sound-alike (LASA) errors e-learning and passed the e-assessment (If nor completed before). https://www.cppe.ac.uk/programmes/l/safetylasa-e-01

You will have to complete an annual patient safety report to cover the time-period from 1st April 2022 until 31st March 2023. Or covering the last 2 years if this has previously not been claimed.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO

There are number of ways in which this can been completed but PPL recommends the following process to ensure that this is done comprehensively and efficiently. This is to be done on a MONTHLY BASIS!

1.     Complete a monthly log of both near misses and incident reporting.
2.    Complete the recommended monthly log and analyse as directed. We recommend that you try to complete this task by the 10th of every month (Monthly patient safety report template)

At the beginning of March 2023, it will be prudent for you to analyse your monthly logs and complete the full patient safety report covering the whole period (Patient safety report template). More information and guidance will be sent on this at a later date.
