Face-to-Face Flu Vaccination Training

Dear Member,

For the 2022/23 flu season PharmaPlus has arranged a range of face-to-face vaccination training dates with our training partner ECG. Please see below for details on how to book your place.

Training requirements

1. Face-to-face training for both injection technique and basic life support (including administration of adrenaline) at least every three years.
2. Annual update training – ensure your knowledge is up to date with changes in practice and guidance:
a) Can be self-directed learning using relevant reference sources -e.g. the Green Book and annual flu letter.
b) e-Learning for Healthcare has a free flu module available (not yet updated for the 2022/23 season).
c) You can undertake online training with training provider.

Book your online annual flu refresher

1. ECG booking via their website – Enter CODE: plusrefresher2022 for a 20% discount.

IMPORTANT

* The training is for PharmaPlus members only and is FREE for ONE person per pharmacy. However, if you do not attend after booking, we will invoice your pharmacy GBP 50 + VAT.
* If you need to train more than one staff from your pharmacy, you can reuse the code on ECG website to bring the cost to zero when booking, however you will receive an invoice of GBP 50 + VAT from us for the additional booking.
* Anyone who has not previously trained to undertake immunisations must undertake full training before commencing flu vaccination. However, for anyone who has undertaken the vaccinations training before and is due to undertake face-to-face training this year, in the current circumstances online training is the best option, and face-to-face training requirements can be undertaken next year instead.
