Key Changes

  •    Must undertake an annual assessment of patient satisfaction but do not need to use the Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire (CPPQ)
  •    Collect structured feedback using more than one method of submission for patients feedback responses to ensure it is accessible across a broad patient base and demographic e.g. face to face, postal, email, webpage submission, etc.
  •    Details are outlined in the approved particulars.
  •    Annually NHSE&I publish up to 3 topics which all contractors must include in their collection of feedback – you may include additional questions based on your local needs as well 

What you need to do

   1.    Click here to download the topics agreed for 2022/23 – These MUST be included in your survey
   2.    Think about any additional questions you may want to add in based on your local needs (optional) 
   3.    Collect the minimum number of surveys as outlined in the table below 
   4.    Must use more than one method to collect your responses – e.g. face to face, postal, email, webpage submission, telephone, etc.
   5.    Feedback to be analysed and a summary of feedback and actions published
        a.  Consider feedback and any potential adjustments you could make to your service 
   6.    Display the summary of feedback via one or more of the following ways:
        a.  Display in the pharmacy – via a leaflet, poster or other means,
        b.  On the pharmacy’s website

•    Provide you with survey forms for your patients to complete – as a paper format and digitally
•    Analyse your results and send you a summary of feedback

The minimum number of feedback responses per pharmacy per year from their patients is proportional to dispensing volume, as outlined in the table below:
