From 1st April 2022 - Community pharmacy team members will continue to be able to access COVID-19 Lateral Flow Device (LFD) tests to allow ongoing twice-weekly asymptomatic testing.
1). Patient-facing staff should continue to test twice weekly when asymptomatic.
2). You can continue to order LFD tests through the gov.uk
portal for NHS staff
3). Symptomatic staff – test using LFDs (no need to book a PCR if you have a positive LFD)
4). Staff who test positive:
o Follow the current return to work guidance for full information
o Should NOT attend work and take a second test on day 5
o Only attend work once they have had 2 negative LFT results taken 24 hours apart
o If medically fit and 2 negative LFTs - can return to work on morning of day 6
o Must continue to take LFTs daily from day 5 to 10 (even if negative)
5). Staff who are household contacts of a positive COVID-19 case
o Continue to work as normal if they remain asymptomatic
o Continue to test twice weekly
o Do not need a PCR to return to work
