We recommend that you consider how you will become an independent prescriber to keep up with the future. It would be best if you considered this now rather than later.
The course itself requires you to be in a GP practice for at least 90 hours or more. You will also need to complete a considerable amount of work outside of the practice. The requirements can quite easily overwhelm an already busy schedule. However, it is likely that you will get left behind if you do not develop these skills.
To help you, PharmaPlus has developed its DMP (designated medical practitioner) and Independent Prescriber service. We can help you find a GP mentor and even support you gain the skill set you require to develop as an independent prescriber. Our service will help you find a mentor within the London region.
This service is something that you and your staff need to consider now. Please complete the form below to register your interest.
